About Us

At North point Ministries, our firm beliefs about both Biblical faith and the importance of the family are guiding principles that serve as the foundation of our ministry and service to the community. We provide families and their children with education, support, and resources to walk according to the morals, values, and commands of stewardship, grounded in Biblical principles.

Mission

  • To raise up a generation of believers who seek God's face and trust in the Lord with all their hearts.

  • To equip believers to live their lives rooted and built up in the Lord, strengthened in faith..., and overflowing with thankfulness. (Colossians 2:7)

At North Point Ministries, we are focused on calling believers up into all that God has called them to be. In Hebrew, breath and name are the same word; the name and very breath of man is his/her character and identity. When God forms us in the womb (gives us breath) and calls us by name, he is calling us into who HE made us to be. We are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image, and each of us has a unique purpose for our lives. It is our goal to foster an environment of spiritual growth and development for our families and youngest members, that each member might come to know the Lord in a deeper way, understanding His character and His thoughts toward us, and, in doing so, help each member develop their own unique, God-given spiritual gifts.

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.

A Message From the Director

~ Shawnee Scaniffe

In my studies with the Lord (and with my Mom lol), I have developed a love of Hebrew. When I learned that every Hebrew letter is a picture, has a meaning, and creates the meaning of the word, I was fascinated! Even the very names that Adam gave the animals describe the animals with their Hebrew letter pictures!

One of the most important Hebrew words I have come across in my studies is the word for "name", which can be literally translated as "destroys chaos." Knowing who God is - fully understanding His name and character - allows us to know who WE are created to be IN Him. Knowing God's name destroys the chaos the world brings to our identity. This is so important, especially in todays world where everybody is telling us and our children who we are and who we should be. We do not want our children - or ourselves - to be defined by the world. Rather, may the Lord breathe life into us as we study His word, that we might be transformed and set free to be all we were created to be in Him.
